LOCATION: Port of Tarragona, Spain.
PROJECT: Plant for the reception and dispatch of liquid ammonia (-33oC). Reception of ammonia by sea or by land to ensure its supply to Repsol Química’s ACN/MMA plant in El Morell (Tarragona). Plant facilities include, but are not too far, a storage tank for refrigerated ammonia of 36 m and 18 m High, discharge, compensation and cooling pipes with connection to the tank, two ammonia loading/unloading systems, cooling systems, PCI seawater intake, seawater cooling and recirculation systems and ammonia purification and washing systems.
